So basically a coin with no purpose?
Someape Pretty much. Maybe the purpose is that it has no purpose.
$APE

Been thinking about all these alternative coins popping up lately.
Most of them seem to be trying to be a better Bitcoin in one way or another. Faster blocks, different mining, more coins, whatever.
What if there was one that didn't pretend to be anything more than a coin for the people using it?
Call it APE.
Bitcoin has bitcoiners. Litecoin has miners. But the internet has millions of apes. People who buy things they probably shouldn't. People who hold when everyone else sells. People who spend all night staring at charts and forums. People who don't really know each other but somehow end up doing the same stupid things together.
Maybe they need their own coin. Not a company. Not a business. Not promising to change the world. Just APE.
A coin anyone can mine, trade, give away, collect, or throw around on forums.
The value wouldn't really be in the technology. It would be in how many people decide they are apes and rally around the same thing. If enough people believe a useless piece of digital money belongs to them, maybe it stops being useless.
I drew this stupid ape for it too.
No idea if anyone would actually use this.
Would anyone here mine it?
So basically a coin with no purpose?
Someape Pretty much. Maybe the purpose is that it has no purpose.
There are already too many altcoins. Why would anyone buy this?
Someape Because they're apes.
lol
keeping the ape image though
This is stupid.
Someape That's sort of the point.
Funny idea actually. Coins don't necessarily need to represent a company. If enough people recognize the symbol then the symbol itself has value.
Probably won't go anywhere though.
Imagine people 10 years from now trading millions of dollars of internet ape coins.
Please stop.
